Training, coaching and testing of artificial intelligence tools

I offer group or 1-to-1 training sessions on life science subjects within both industry and academic settings. I’m also available for coaching young scientists pursuing a career in the life sciences. Furthermore, I support the development and optimization of artificial intelligence-based tools by for example evaluating and refining prompts, and benchmarking model outputs against concrete life science-oriented questions.

Scientific Support to Artificial Intelligence Development

Clarbonyx has the capacity to support players in the AI (Artificial Intelligence) space with specialized Subject Matter Expertise. I possess the chemistry and pharmaceutical science knowledge required to support fine-tuning and validating large language models (LLMs). As an analytical problem solver, I can generate complex scenarios, design expert evaluation frameworks, verify AI-generated solutions, and drive continuous model optimization. My core capabilities in this space include:

  • Performing output review (accuracy and quality of reasoning): Assessing the accuracy, scientific compliance, and quality of reasoning in AI outputs.

  • Testing expert-led inquiries: Performing prompt validation to challenge and refine model capabilities.

  • Data quality analysis: Supporting quality assurance activities linked to scientific outputs

I offer these services globally in both Dutch and English.

Training and Coaching

Empowering the Next Generation of Life Science Professionals

Navigating the intersection of rigorous science and evolving global regulations requires more than just academic knowledge: it demands practical, industry-tested insight. Whether you are looking to upskill an industry team, enrich an academic curriculum, or accelerate your personal career trajectory, I provide specialized training and strategic coaching grounded in robust scientific evidence and hands-on experience.

Specialized Technical Training: Bridging the Gap Between Science & Regulation

I deliver deep-dive technical training designed for pharmaceutical professionals, researchers, and regulatory teams. My programs don't just cover the what of regulations, but the why of the underlying chemistry, embedded in practical use cases.

  • Pharmaceutical Impurities Control: Comprehensive training on the detection, quantification, and management of impurities throughout the drug development lifecycle.

  • Nitrosamine & Mutagenic Impurities Risk Assessment: Specialized modules focusing on the latest regulatory expectations (EMA, FDA, ICH M7), risk assessment root-cause analysis of nitrosamine formation, and mitigation strategies, including aspects such as recommended acceptable intake limit (RAIL) development and analytical testing strategies.

  • The Science-Regulatory Mix: Practical frameworks for translating complex chemical and biological data into compliant, high-quality regulatory dossiers.

Available Formats:

  • Interactive Group Workshops: Tailored for corporate R&D teams, quality control units, or academic departments.

  • 1-to-1 Intensive Sessions: Focused, personalized technical deep-dives to solve specific knowledge gaps or project challenges.

  • Recorded Trainings: Tailored to your internal procedures, ready for integration into your Learning & Development System.

Coaching for Emerging Scientists: Navigating Your Career in the Life Sciences

The transition from academia to industry, or advancing within the life sciences sector, can be complex. I provide dedicated mentorship and career coaching for young scientists, PhD students, and early-career professionals looking to make a meaningful impact.

  • Industry Decoded: Learn how to translate your academic research excellence into the commercial and regulatory language that industry employers value.

  • Strategic Career Mapping: Define your professional goals, identify skill gaps, and build a sustainable path toward leadership or specialized technical roles.

  • Unbiased Mentorship: Gain a supportive, expert sounding board to navigate professional transitions, workplace dynamics, and critical career decisions.

At 15 years old, high school chemistry lessons revealed the start of a lifelong fascination with the chemical sciences. I was deeply inspired by fellow Belgian and founder of Janssen Pharmaceutica Dr. Paul Janssen (voted second “Greatest Belgian” in 2005), who masterfully bridged chemistry, pharmacology, and medicine while starting from a humble, makeshift lab. His multidisciplinary brilliance proved that profound breakthroughs stem from relentless curiosity and technical rigor.

More importantly, his core ethos -"The patients are waiting" - instilled in me the belief that all scientific work must serve a human purpose. Today, over two decades after that first spark, that dual foundation of rigorous, evidence-based science and patient-centric urgency drives my work in consulting and coaching. Because I believe an inspired start to a STEM career can be life-changing, I am also open to coaching high school students.
